How it works

01 · Open your account. Book online and choose email or text message as your preferred contact method. Both contact details are collected at checkout.

02 · Present the figures. We’ll contact you within 24 calendar hours, including weekends, to understand your aesthetic goal, available budget, current resources, and priorities. Photographs and reference links are welcome.

03 · The edit is prepared. Once all necessary information has been received and clarified, your personalized proposal will be delivered by email within two business days.

04 · Review the recommendations. You have until the same time on the next business day to request clarification or one reasonable adjustment within the original scope.

05 · Accounts settled. Any eligible revision will be completed within one additional business day. If no request is submitted before the deadline, the complimentary creative review period closes.

This service covers one small personal aesthetic project. It does not include purchasing items, negotiating with suppliers, detailed market research, financial planning, investment advice, or guarantees regarding product prices and availability.

The Grand Commission is Gelato Piano’s most comprehensive private aesthetic-direction service, developed for a substantial personal or creative project requiring a cohesive visual identity.

Through the perspectives of the relevant territories, your project is examined from multiple aesthetic angles before a final creative direction is established.

Not every project requires a Grand Commission.

For those that do, individual details are considered in service of one greater vision.

What you’ll receive

Following acceptance of your project and agreement on its scope, your commission may include:

• A detailed creative brief establishing your goals, preferences, constraints, and available budget.

• Two initial aesthetic directions for consideration.

• One selected direction developed into a comprehensive digital visual dossier.

• Coordinated recommendations covering relevant elements such as styling, color, materials, atmosphere, and visual references.

• A prioritized implementation plan.

• One defined revision round within the agreed project scope.

The exact deliverables are confirmed in your individual proposal before payment.

How it works

01 · Submit a commission request. Contact Gelato Piano with a description of your project, preferred timeline, approximate budget, and the aesthetic direction you wish to explore.

02 · Preliminary examination. We’ll acknowledge your request within 24 calendar hours and may ask additional questions to determine whether the project fits the scope and capacity of The Grand Commission.

03 · Receive your commission proposal. If the project is suitable, you’ll receive a personalized proposal outlining the creative scope, deliverables, price, schedule, and revision terms.

04 · Confirm your commission. Your project is reserved only after the proposal is accepted and the required payment is completed.

05 · The territories convene. Your creative direction is developed through the relevant aesthetic perspectives of Gelato Piano’s fictional institution.

06 · Final consideration. Your completed commission is delivered according to the individually agreed schedule, with the included revision process described in your proposal.

Limited availability

The Grand Commission accepts a maximum of two projects per month, subject to availability and suitability.

This service provides aesthetic and creative direction. It does not automatically include purchasing, production, manufacturing, physical styling, vendor management, reservations, or event coordination.

Projects requiring additional services may be quoted separately or declined.

Borgo and the territories are fictional editorial figures. All real creative services are performed by Gelato Piano’s identified service provider.

A Grand Commission purchases creative expertise, not influence over the magazine’s editorial judgments or fictional rulings.

When the details disagree, the vision must decide.

A business day means an eligible weekday, regardless of the number of hours worked internally.

If a revision is requested on time, your final version will be delivered within one additional business day.
